Hire in Poland
Structured payroll, employer-cost, employment and compliance data for hiring in Poland.
What does a hire in Poland actually cost?
Start with salary and a few basic hiring details. Ivvora converts USD to PLN, applies local payroll rules, and converts the result back to USD.
Use the options on the left to choose your employment scenario. Your calculated annual employer cost will appear here.
We show calculated amounts separately from costs that need more information. No hidden zero-cost assumptions.
Hiring essentials
Six practical signals to understand before modeling payroll.
Statutory employer contributions
Calculated from individual statutory components
Employee deductions
Statutory deductions and withholding rules that may reduce gross pay.
Mandatory compensation
Separate statutory compensation obligations are modeled individually rather than as a single employer-tax percentage.
Poland employment rules that actually matter
Ordinary employment contract · national statutory baseline · 2026
Notice periods
For ordinary fixed-term and indefinite contracts. Probation contracts follow separate notice rules: 3 working days, 1 week or 2 weeks based on probation length. PIP official guidance ↗
Redundancy severance — qualifying employer dismissals
This statutory framework generally concerns employers with at least 20 employees and qualifying reasons unrelated to the employee. Ordinary resignations and every individual dismissal do not automatically trigger it.
Fixed-salary severance illustration
Only for an eligible dismissal. Actual remuneration may require a separate leave-equivalent pay calculation.
Monthly payroll filings and payments
These are ZUS DRA/RCA/RSA and contribution deadlines. A deadline falling on a weekend or statutory holiday generally moves to the next working day. ZUS official reporting guide ↗
Employer accident insurance rates, health-insurance bases, PPK participation and special employment arrangements remain scenario-specific. This reference does not turn them into universal percentages.
National rules with employer-specific exceptions
Poland's ordinary employment rules apply nationally. Accident rates, collective agreements, regulated professions and special-sector frameworks can still affect a specific employment scenario.
Classification-risk indicators
Ivvora surfaces risk indicators rather than giving a legal employee/contractor verdict.
Data coverage
Important limitation
Employment rules can vary by location, establishment and employee classification. Values that cannot safely be represented as a country-wide constant remain conditional instead of being estimated.
